As the Labour Party goes from purge to purge, scandal to scandal, and resignation to resignation, what is the Labour Party Deputy-Leader for Party Affairs doing apart from exalting Dear Leader? He seems to be too busy with his own personal life and business to find any time to appear meaningful in the political scene.
Maybe, he works behind the scenes and does what needs to be done without much pomp and advertising. The Gary Cooper type. The strong and silent one who is not in tune with his feelings, but just does what needs to be done. I hope that people get the irony, because if it is so, he’s been doing a very horrible job with the Labour Party in meltdown.
In reality, Daniel Micallef isn’t doing much and his complacent resignation to Robert Abela’s cult in the party turned him into just a prop for Dear Leader. Of course, Daniel Micallef bears a lot of responsibility to the state the Labour party is in today – he is literally the person responsible in making sure that the Labour Party’s affairs are in order. Only delusion or criminal intent would lead you to believe that the Labour Party’s political affairs on every level of society from state to citizen are in order. However, Daniel Micallef seems content enough by the mere fact that the Labour government forked out subsidies to the economy during the last pandemic shutdown. It’s like they have discoveredย emergency fiscal policy for the first time in their lives, yet they still feel special and brave for turning to state support just as the whole world was doing exactly the same.
Today. the Party Affairs Department at the Labour Party is more like a CCP-style propaganda prop for Dear Leader. Soon you may even see Daniel Micallef grabbing party delegates out of conference rooms, Xi Jinping style, before giving speeches again about Robert Abela’s heroism and benevolence during the pandemic.
