Biennales as events for tourists

I enjoyed reading this piece on The Spectator by Digby Warde-Albam where he refers to Malta’s Biennale as mainly, an event for tourists.

It also provides some good context to my previous article here, where I argue that the Biennale in Malta has served artists more as a vanity event than as a means to secure sales and new streams of revenue.
