There is one Labour Party politician who when in power, abetted and supported elements of the Serbian mafia in Malta and this politician is Chris Cardona. He can be seen here in the photo above with Labour Party MEP candidate Daniel Attard.
Today, Chris Cardona lives in Dubai and comes to Malta only occasionally. Chris Cardona has been investigated on multiple criminal activities, including, fraud and money-laundering, apart from being well-close to Serbian and other foreign criminal elements involved in trafficking of all sorts. Last year, a European wide investigation in coordination with the European Prosecutor’s Office lead to eight arrests in Malta of individuals who were involved in an international contraband network – a network that in Malta has been lead and coordinated by Chris Cardona’s close political associates and employees.
Chris Cardona is not in Dubai because Dubai is his first choice of country to set up his business in. Chris Cardona is in Dubai because he has been investigated by the local authorities and what has been investigated about him is only the start of a series of investigations on organised crime in Malta.
