Delsk and its subsidiaries had serious trouble setting up their bank accounts in Malta and they had an extensive correspondence with Bank of Valletta before they were allowed an account. Now, one of their subsidiaries called Destination Europe, which is currently paying Joseph Muscat and other Labour Party officials, is risking having its bank account at Bank of Valletta shut down.
Before making use of Bank of Valletta, Delsk used specifically two other banks to forward payments to Labour Party officials. One of them was the Malta-based Satabank (surprise, surprise), the infamous bank in Malta that was involved in a lot of criminal activity and eventually forced to be liquidated. The other bank by which Delsk sent payments to Labour Party officials is Gibraltar International Bank based in Gibraltar. Delsk used various of its companies to move this payments.
