With his bank accounts in Malta and abroad frozen and an imminent arrest warrant coming his way, Joseph Muscat has written a letter to Police Commissioner Angelo Gafa that reads like:
“Angelo, please help me.”
Joseph Muscat is showing a great sense of fear and desperation by expecting the Police Commissioner to come and save him at this point. It has been some time that Joseph Muscat has been clutching on at this straw. Angelo Gafa did indeed help Joseph Muscat by refusing to investigate him on anything except for when he was legally prompted to do so by the Inquiring Magistrate. With a robust and very detailed Magisterial Inquiry, Angelo Gafa has no choice but to follow the legal procedures that transpire from its conclusions, and doing otherwise would make him directly liable of hindering the process of justice. At this point Gafa is forced to act, and he is not going to come to Joseph Muscat’s rescue.
In addition, Muscat had plenty of time to chose to be questioned by the Police, only that he didn’t want to and chose not to. In a Magisterial Inquiry it is the Police that conduct the questioning and not the Magistrate herself. It’s patheticย that Joseph Muscat is begging to be questioned only now, after the conclusions of the inquiry have been submitted. This is the behaviour of a desperate criminal who is guilty as hell.
It’s also hilarious that he is projecting a deep fear of prison. He clearly isn’t suited for criminal behaviour despite fancying being one, and it clearly shows on his face. Everyone wants to be a gangster before they have to do actual gangster shit: like going to prison.
