PN MP who made a racist comment faces no consequences whatsoever

Justin Schembri, the PN MP who made a racist comment saying “Labour filled Malta with filth and Indians” has still not resigned as an MP and is still PN’s Education Shadow Minister (for crying out loud). PN Leader Bernard Grech wants to sweep the incident under the carpet as if a mistake just happened. Lapsus.

What’s this genuine hatred that some people have for the Indians in Malta? Because let’s face it, Justin Schembri’s comment wasn’t a mistake, it was his genuine sentiment expressed in a very impulsive manner. It’s him and that’s how he feels and thinks and he thinks that way because he’s racist and he hates brown people, especially if they speak a different language.

There are really no valid reasons to hate the Indians in Malta because among other third-country national groups, they have a low crime and unemployment rate. Some of them are integrating with our society well and speak Maltese and I don’t think they will ever leave or stop coming. However, this is fine for PN if they intend to remain a political party solely for that narrow cohort of society that still believes that Michael Gonzi was a good person.

Justin Schembri should apologise, resign, and seek to rehabilitate his image. By staying in politics he will be forever remembered as the dumb racist he is. Unless PN is really turning into a freak-show of obtuse conservative figures who want to emulate the Labour Party. Unsurprisingly, Justin Schembri seems to be part of Team Adrian Delia.

  1. Open your eyes. The truth is the truth… facts. You should know better. We invited third party nationals because the government employed all Maltese who were registering for work instead of allowing them to go to the private sector. Please tell us the truth.

  2. What baffles me is why are some making money off people we now need to turn the wheels of our economy? What I wish you to tell your readers is who is racking in money off third party nationals. We should be paying them to come over not the other way round. Are we still pirates?

I am not racist I would say the same for all nationalities including ours.

You absolutely are racist but are too convinced you’re right to actually see it.

It is the association with filth that has stirred controversy. It is not on. People from India are employed in various functions in various industries. India is being backed by the US as a shock absorber to China’s ambitions. As much as it is valid to mention and indeed complain about the surge in numbers of workers employed from other countries it is not these workers that need to be given a hard time but the awful and despicable government who has brought the industrial sector to a motivational standstill.

Always amusing to hear of such smug superiority from the ?bermensch Maltese. If the Germans had captured Malta, we would have had another Kondomari, if not worse.
