A managing partner of the Cypriot law firm Michael Kyprianou has informed journalists that Maltese lawyer David Meli “resigned voluntarily” from the firm. David-Joseph Meli represented Steward Health Care in Malta and is one of those being charged with money-laundering, as well as having his funds and bank accounts frozen. David Meli is also alleged to have served as a go between Steward Health Care and Joseph Muscat, Konrad Mizzi and Keith Schembri, and even having bribed them. 9Fin has also covered this story.
