Last year, Simon Mercieca filed a libel case against me when for claiming that he has been receiving money from Patricia Fenech (Yorgen Fenech’s mother) to write in support of her son who s being charged for the murder of Daphne Caruana Galizia. The payment was made in physical cash so it may be challenging to have documented proof of the actual physical transaction taking place.
However, there is a massive context and background with many interesting details and facts that give a lot of weight to my case and the evidence will be slowly presented in court. What’s very interesting, that meetings were held at Portamso following Yorgen Fenech’s arrest by various representatives and parties of the Tumas Group such as Yorgen Fenech’s lawyer Charles Mizzi and his mother Patricia Fenech who met Yorgen’s paid propagandists such as Saviour Balzan and Simon Mercieca.
Today, my lawyer Joseph Mizzi submitted my case, aiming to prove that Simon Mercieca is a paid propagandist for the Fenech Group, similar to Saviour Balzan. You can read my case here. Saviour Balzan and Patricia Fenech will be summoned to testify.
From 2020 to 2024, Simon Mercieca wrote at least 166 articles that claimed that Yorgen Fenech was innocent and 64 articles attacking the family of Daphne Caruana Galizia and even claiming they are culpable of her murder. He wrote other articles blaming the murder of Daphne on the Freemason, fuel smugglers, and others. He also regularly attacks Jason Azzopardi and the lawyers representing her family.
