Natural gas prices were the cheapest they have been in recent history, but Miriam Dalli is still harping about subsidies

Energy Minister Miriam Dalli is still at it with her delusions, bragging to the electorate that she has kept electricity prices low by spending up to €2 billion in subsidies since 2020.

The government is still issuing  energy subsidies and this year alone, Miriam Dalli is expected to disburse up to €596 million in subsidies. Strange. We are just exiting a discount window that lasted nearly five months on natural gas prices which saw prices at their lowest in many years. Electricity prices in Europe have also crashed to their Covid lows.
