Carmelo Penza, one of the Labour Party’s favourite contractor (an old-time Labourite himself), is currently responsible for works at Robert Abela’s villa and residential property in ?ejtun, of which he obtained development permits very recently. Penza was recently also refurbishing Alfred Sant’s house. His daughter works at the Office of the Prime Minister.
Carmelo Penza has recently turned an industrial plant in ?al Far into a rental complex, only to apply to apply to build a new cement plant in Mqabba. The Prime Minister said he will refuse this application (the Prime Minister has become the Planning Authority), and of course, will now have to provide him with a new site for his project.
