Earlier this week, Georgia’s President Salome Zourabichvili issued a press release along with a press conference announcing the Georgian Charter. The Charter includes a demand for the abrogation of despotic laws such as the “Russian law”, a reform of the Justice system, and a powerful defense of the State. Georgia is currently in the middle of a political crisis as thousands of people keep protesting in the streets every day against their authoritarian government.
She doesn’t mince her words. She doesn’t make acrobatic explanations to justify the rampant criminality of the government. She doesn’t call journalists, dissidents and the Opposition “provocateurs” like our President did. President Zourabichvili has provided a plain, straightforward, uncompromising defense of the State and the Georgian people.
Compare this beautiful and strong defense of the State, the Justice system, and democracy with our very own pseudo-President who apologises for a criminal government and corrupt politicians and the capture of the State by criminal elements. President Myriam Spiteri Debono has no moral authority and is unfit for purpose. She is just another government prop and is close to the Abela dynasty.
