The Malta Business Registry removes Identity Card and Passport Numbers from its public and online records

Journalists would have to be physically present at the Malta Business Registry’s offices in ?ejtun to check and verify the Identity Card and Passport numbers of listed individuals on its public and online records. The ID and Passport details have been quietly removed from their online system just a few days ago.

There was no notice about this measure. Business records in Malta are public and deposited at the Malta Business Registry. This website makes regular use of the Malta Business Registry and its online records.

Were the public documents also erased?!?

    1. What misconception? The public records are not “erased” they have only been removed from the online and public system.
