French President Emmanuel Macron has declared snap elections for next month

French President Emmanuel Macron has called for snap elections to be held next month. Macron’s political coalition to the European Parliament elections garnered up to 20% of the vote and lost to its far-right adversary, Rassemblement National with 31% of the vote. Rassemblement National is led by Jordan Bardella and forms part Marine Le Paine’s far-right movement.
