Finally, Robert Abela is directing his anger and authoritative posture where he should be directing it and hence against Joseph Muscat’s faction. Yesterday, Robert Abela threw a slew of insults at Alex Agius Saliba for basing his campaign to the European Parliament elections on his defense of Joseph Muscat.
Robert Abela, as Supreme Leader, had three years to condition the Party base to support him against an inevitable rift with Joseph Muscat and his faction. Instead, he spent three cowardly years protecting and covering up for him. Now, he is torn between keeping Joseph Muscat’s faction in the Party, or risk losing the general election and force the Labour Party in many years in Opposition.
The answer and the solution to this should be obvious, and this is why Robert Abela should have never become Leader of the Labour Party and Prime Minister. The Labour Party had to purge Joseph Muscat and his criminal elementsย from its ranks and condition Party members to support the Labour Party over Joseph Muscat. That was Project Doctor Fearne which Robert Abela burned with his theatrical “I am against a Devil’s Pact” bullshit, and Joseph Muscat’s backing.
Robert Abela fucked it up so much, that instead of using his power and posture to win a war against Joseph Muscat, he was all over the place crying over attacks by the “Establishment” and whatnot. What did he expect? That between his stupid Devil’s Pact and the State, we would chose the Devil’s Pact for the sake of pretending to “save” the Labour Party? And save it from what? Robert Abela purged and weakened Joseph Muscat’s worst adversaries in the Labour Party and now he doesn’t have the generals to fight Joseph Muscat’s faction. He literally IS the Establishment himself and technically much more powerful than Joseph Muscat and anyone in the country and he’s crying like a baby over the Judiciary investigating Joseph Muscat.
And for what? It’s not as if we ever cared that Robert Abela was laundering money for Christian Borg in the everyday life of any typical criminal lawyer in Malta. Joseph Muscat looted the State and pigged out so much he robbed the National Health Service with a bunch of a crooked-low-life-criminal-fradusters. For Heaven’s sake, does anyone in Labour has any perspective left, still? The Socialist Leader literally robbing and looting the NHS.
Robert Abela still can’t understand his predicament. Having filled the government and important posts with Joseph Muscat’s friends to protect him, like having Miriam Dalli responsible over the energy sector and Jonathan Attard over Justice, the nation and the State paid a heavy price. We ended up paying ย2 billion in subsidies because Miriam Dalli’s best consultant was an under-performing BOV fund manager, and the Justice Minister wrecked the State instead of defending it. Then you have an oblivious and surreal Home Affairs Ministers who lives on a completely different planet. And we should applaud all this mess? What does Robert Abela expect? If he can’t solve this shit, he has to resign because he’s responsible for this mess and he should own it.
