I’m asking this question because a member of the said union has informed me that the executive committee did not discuss or vote on the press release that was just issued as it is usually its practice, no were the members consulted about it.
I’m also told that former Police Commissioner Ray Zammit who has ties with the General Workers’ Union and the Labour Party is very influential in the MPU, and I’m baffled at how many diregentes seem to be involved in an organisation supposedly intended for workers.
Also, I would still like to know from the MPU about what’s so personal in calling out the head of the Financial Crimes Investigations Department for failing to conduct any investigations on the Vitals and the Steward case and even refusing to read the Magisterial Investigation.
