French President Emmanuel Macron’s political coalition has moved slightly ahead in the polls gaining around 22% of the estimated support, but is still far behind the far-right group, Rassemblement National at 34%. Front Populaire, the far-left is at 29%.
Head of the Rassemblement National, Joseph Bardella is saying that his group will only govern if they get the absolute majority of the votes.
President Macron has called for general elections following his defeat at the European Parliament elections.
