The Libyan police have concluded that Marzia Calleja Maatouk has been murdered

The Libyan police have concluded their autopsy of Marzia Calleja Maatouk and have concluded that she was killed by strangling following the gruesome discovery of her body hanging from a noose last May. Her previous partner who was on the run with her, Jomic Calleja Maatouk is being suspected of murder and is expected to be charged in a Libyan court.

Currently, the Maltese Police do not have the latest updates and whereabouts about Jomic Calleja, although it was previously stated that he was arrested.
