At least six French MPs that have been elected have done services to the Kremlin

At least six French Members of Parliament that have been elected from the winning-party, Rassemblement National, have conducted services to the Russian government at a time in their political career. These are Hélène Laporte, Pierre Gentillet, Jean-Lin Lacapelle, Rémy Berthonneau, Andréa Kotarac and Julie Lechanteux.

Hélène Laporte and Julie Lechanteux were election observers to Russia’s constitutional referendum in 2020. Pierre Gentillet founded the political group “Pushkin Circle” in 2015 and traveled to occupied Crimea multiple times. Jean-Lin Lacapelle was an electoral observer in Russia. Rémy Berthonneau campaigned for the lifting of sanctions from Russia and was the general director of CIFAL, a French company based in Russia that has strong ties to the Kremlin. Andréa Kotarac was an election observer to Russian-occupied Donbass region of Ukraine in 2018.

Marine Le Pen’s RN is pro-Russia and had a loan of up to €6 million from a Russian bank.

RN has garnered up to 34% of all the votes and is currently estimated to be with at least 240 seats in parliament out of 577 seats, but another electoral round will now ensue.
