Euro climbs the $1.08 mark

The Euro is currently above the $1.08 mark currently at $1.0811. It is as much as 0.9% higher than it’s Friday’s closing price before the French election fracass on Sunday.

Despite the relative far-right victory of the far-right at the French polls, there is no fear in European markets in Europe especially with regards to the Euro which is often a favorite target by the far-right and Eurosceptics.

Some traders and economists are arguing that the Euro is currently overvalued, while others are arguing that it is not that the Euro is overvalued, but it’s that other currencies are weaker. The truth probably lies somewhat in the middle, meaning that although the Euro is relatively weak against the US Dollar, it is still its most ideal and liquid alternative.
