Turks rioted in Eindhoven, Netherlands after their national football team lost 2 – 1 to the Netherlands in Berlin in the Euro 2024 Quarterfinals. The Netherlands will now face-off England at the Semifinals. Turkey’s President Tayyip Erdogan was present at the game.
Turkey’s star-defender missed the game as he sits out a UEFA suspension for making the Turkish ultra-nationalist “Grey Wolves” salute during Turkey’s game against Austria.

Better late than never, but I am from Eindhoven and know the real background. The Turks and Dutch were totally fine with eachother.
There were however Syrians about with their national flags and cheering five times harder than any Dutch person did when the team scored a goal. Apparently there was some unrest back in the Middle East on the border between the two.
The Syrians were very deliberately provoking the Turks throughout the night.
The lower video of the two is not even in Eindhoven. We don’t have tram lines here.
