Gabriel Attal stays on as France’s Prime Minister: Left to come up with candidate at the end of the week

President Emmanuel Macron has asked French Prime Minister Gabriel Attal to stay on as Prime Minister after he offered to resign following the election results for the National Assembly. The French Left that won the elections has to come up with a proposed candidate for the French Premiership, but as expected, this decision will prove to be difficult considering the uncompromising stance of many of the coalition’s main leaders such as Jean-Luc Mélenchon.
