Tonio Fenech: fronting Russian money in Malta

The lawyer Tonio Fenech who was featured here for fronting Russian-Azeri billionaire, Zarakh Illiev, is also mentioned in relation to the international investigation over Papaya. Tonio Fenech resigned as director of Papaya when the company was being investigated for money laundering and breaking Russian sanctions.

Word has surely picked up by now in Russian circles in Malta, and maybe even elsewhere, that Tonio Fenech is the lawyer to go to front their money.
