No change of stance

Nothing has changed since revelations of an extensive smear campaign against the previous Deputy-Prime Minister, Chris Fearne. Prime Minister Robert Abela’s proposal to Chris Fearne to go to Brussels remains just a proposal, and Chris Fearne has shown no intention to entertain it even if he is not indicted over the Vitals and Steward case.

Chris Fearne knows that even if he is not indicted, he still has a court case to face in Malta apart from the ensuing political battles. On the other hand, if Chris Fearne chooses to satisfy Supreme Leader’s wishes and get out of his way by getting kicked upstairs, he would ultimately be betraying the Labour Party and those who are supporting him given that they are banking on him to turn things around within Labour.
