For clarity’s sake, the previous Minister of Finance Edward Scicluna didn’t resist any requests, but he only transfgerred the request tothe cabinet as the Finance Minister does with any other request. His action was procederal and not in any way distinctivly principled, although that’s how The Times have presented it.
What happened during the actual cabinet meeting that followed was that Chris Fearne delineated all the reasons why Steward did not need any further financing, with Konrad Mizzi insisting until eventually Chris Fearne came to blows with him.
