Russian and Chinese propagandists online are stepping up their support for Donald Trump seeing his incoming presidency in the United States as a great gift to their foreign policy.

The last video is particularly amusing to witness after having watched Roberta Metsola’s speech in the European Parliament.
Re-cap of the Russian video: In what looks like a circle of hell (so hot one has to war shades), a bunch of old men (not a single woman among them) ramble on about the end of the world and how men born in the 1940s are going to re-draw the world map.
Meanwhile, Roberta Metsola talks about hope, young people, women, people with disabilities, democracy and freedom of speech. That has nothing to do with being ‘woke’. It is about creating a more united, gentler and prettier world. It is not even half as remarkable as it sounds. Most people would vote for it if given the chance and if they fully understood it, because who does not want a better life?
I am an eternal optimist and believe that young people can make the world a better place. Like Roberta Metsola, I believe in Generation Z! They will discover, they will roam free, they will express themselves and ultimately teach old fogies how to make things better. The problem is that, at this rate of stupidity, they may have to burn the whole place to the ground and start over to make their beautiful dreams a reality.
