Deo Debattista kicked out of the Mater Dei’s ITU after altercation with staff

Yesterday evening, Labour Party MP Deo Debattista was kicked out of Mater Dei’s Intensive Treatment Unit after an altercation with the staff.

He was asked to leave the ITU because he was present there without any authorisation. After this, Deo Debattista began shouting and arguing with the staff, telling them that he “can go wherever he wants because he is a doctor”.

There is also a video of the alteration which I will be uploading later on.

Mater Dei Hospital is properly and professionally run in spite of the fact that it was built for a population of 350,000 whilst the current summer population, expat and TCN and tourists included exceeds 700,000. That is why Debattista was shown the red card in spite of him yelling ?mela ma tafux min jien??. Ar?hemm hej

  3. […] Deo Debattista’s visit to the ITU at Mater Dei on Thursday was made for one of his patients, and the incident is unrelated to ongoing case of Jesmond Gatt. […]
