China has drastically improved its capability to occupy Taiwan according to the Japanese government

The Japanese government has issued a report stating that the Chinese armed forces have the capability to invade Taiwan in one week if different Chinese units work efficiently. Previously, the time estimated for China  to invade Taiwan was estimated at around one month.

Currently, a Japanese rescue vessel is conducting a joint-exercise drill with the Taiwanese coast guard. China is opposing the drills.

China has been stepping up its pressure on Taiwan by increasing its grey-zone tactics and augmenting its naval drills around the island.
