Supreme Leader travels to Ragusa while Malta suffers an electric grid crisis

Taken from Jason Azzopardi’s Facebook profile.

Note for the uninitiated. This kind of behavior is deeply offensive. It shows a deep sense inconsiderateness, lack of empathy, apart from being a total dereliction of duty.

The head of government is expected to be present during national crises or critical challenges. The Summer blackouts caused by a disintegrating electric grid is akin to a small crisis. You’d expect the Prime Minister to be present most of the time in the country to attend to the crisis unless he has to travel abroad on important meetings. Traveling on holiday as Prime Minister while your country has an ongoing crisis with its electric grid is the Maltese epitome of “x’jimpurtanti minn kollox u minn kul?add?!”.
