Romanian Gepard self-propelled anti-aircraft guns were used to destroy several Russian suicide drones that breached into Romania near the Ukrainian city of Izmail as they traveled en route to Ukraine. The Romanian anti-air system was activated after one of the Russian drones hit Romanian territory.
This is the first time that a European country engaged against Russia on NATO and European territory.
