2024 Summer Olympics kick off in Paris

The 2024 Summer Olympics kicked off in Paris, France under the tight security of 40,000 police and security personnel. Various terror plots organised by the Russian security secret services to thwart the Olympics have already been foiled including an attempt by a Russian spy who lived in Paris as a chef. Sabotage against the French railway system was also reported.

Five Maltese athletes will participate in these Olympics and these are Gianluca Chetcuti who will compete in shooting, Katryna Esposito in judo, Beppe Grillo in athletics and Sasha Gatt and Kyle Micallef in swimming. The event dates when they will be competing can be found here.
