Edward Scicluna will soon be sacked by the President on advice of the cabinet after he was indicted in court and refused to resign. He could have chosen to resign with some dignity (if he had any left) on the very first day he was arraigned in court, but instead decided to embarrass himself and the whole nation like the little child that he is. Prime Minister Robert Abela already stated publicly that he wants his Central Bank governor to resign.
Edward Scicluna fancied himself as a finance expert and technocrat and projected himself accordingly during the Joseph Muscat administrations as Minister for Finance. The problem here is that despite being the self-claimed genius he was, he never ever informed or warned his cabinet members that the Vitals and Steward deals were fraudulent. Daphne Caruana Galizia was saying this from day one, publishing extensive evidence of this fraud, but Edward Scicluna decided to approve of these fraudulent deals with his silence, knowing very well that they were fraudulent.
