Jesus: the Dionysian Cult Leader

I feel kind of silly writing about the things I learned as a teenager, but since this is what people want to talk about, here it is.

Where do you think Jesus (who, by the way, was a real historical figure) got his idea about drinking and consuming God himself?

It seems like many Europeans, and Mediterraneans need to read their own history.

Christianity is a religion with heavy Greek influences, including Platonic philosophy (the Christian Holy Books were originally written in Greek). One of Christianity’s influences from Greek philosophy and mythology was the Dionysian mythology and culture about wine.

It so happens that European culture is by far much greater than Christianity having been dominant in Europe only for some centuries. The Olympics were invented in a Greek-gay society and competitors (exclusively male) competed naked.

Displays of outlandish homosexuality are highly consistent with overall European culture.

    And your point?

  2. Jeshwa Melchidesek is indeed a real historical figure.
Where does Roman Catholicism come from?
The First Nicaea Council in 325 AD came about 325 or so years after Jeshwa left this planet. The Teachings were passed by word of mouth and later, what we call the bible, were books written by about 40 different authors. In 325 AD, the Roman Emperor Constantine choose 4 of them and discarded the rest. Matthew, Mark, Luke and John were doctored (i.e. allowed omissions and twists) in true Machiavellian style to suit the mindset of the rulers of the Roman Empire. Bear in mind that most people were not literate in 325 AD.
During his time Jeshwa Melchidesek was never ever called Gesu Kristu or Jesus Christ or whatever.
And to all devoted Catholics with a genuinely good heart , Roman Catholicism does retain some of the original Teachings but Roman Catholicism is not undistorted and most certainly not entirely faithful to Jeshwa’s original teachings.

It is very likely that Dionysian allusions reflect Roman Catholicism and not related to the original Teachings.

Apparently the Essenes – the brotherhood/sisterhood that flourished in Palestine from about the 2nd century BC are said to have kept the original Teachings.

Teachings are teachings. The messenger is unlikely to be some narcissistic cult leader.

Note – Messengers come to this planet when things are going profoundly haywire. Just like what is happening now on our planet.

It’s not about Dionysius, but it is about the Romans.
The cannibalism view of the Last Supper was invented by Roman Christianity. They did not want to acknowledge the Roman colonial government’s part in the Crucifixion. Nor were they ever interested in the culture and history of the Jews or other people they subjugated. They saw other nations as ignorant and uncultured, fit only to be conquered and exploited. Even in adopting a foreign religion, they did not bother to learn about the roots and traditions of that faith.
Consider the irony of Jesus officiating at Passover Seder (of all things!), while his enemies were waiting outside, to take him to his death. Try to imagine his horror and trauma. All those present felt it, even the traitor, Judas Iscariot. But Jesus was a great speaker who used parables and metaphors, and his final farewell to his closest followers called for whatever he could muster. On this occasion, I think he might well have said something like, “Tomorrow, I will be as dead as this cracker bread. You might as well be eating my flesh and drinking my blood, instead of this wine. And you will remember me this way, at every Seder from now on.” The gist of the speech, if not the exact words, survived in oral history, for a while.

The Romans chopped it up, to serve their purposes, and never questioned their own bigotry.
