Glenn Bedingfield comes out in defence of Robert Abela over the Labour Party Deputy-Leadership Contest

The first public reaction by a Labour stalwart to Jason Micallef’s candidacy to the post of Labour Party Deputy-Leader is by Glenn Bedingfield, and it is against his candidacy.

Glenn Bedingfield has written a clear message of support to Robert Abela over the Deputy-Leadership race after Robert Abela has explicitly objected to Jason Micallef’s candidacy. Bedingfield states that a Deputy-Leader has to support the Leader.

Jason Micallef is not exactly a Leader Cotnrarian like the traditional Leader Cotnrarians before him. Jason Micallef is representing Joseph Muscat’s faction in the Labour Party and his candidacy is a direct threat to Robert Abela by Joseph Muscat himself.

My prediction is that Jason Micallef’s campaign will slowly crash and burn along with Joseph Muscat’s prospects of ever taking over the Labour Party again.

    1. To be fair, Glenn Bedingfield was on Chris Fearne’s camp.

      1. Not one single MP was on the side of the electorate, those who were honest left the PL. Yesmen are no good to us. Pity we’re stuck with the corrupt and they are ALL corrupt, the PM the worse of all, we deserve better.

  6. […] He remembers very well the period when Jason Micallef was Secretary-General. He knows well Alex Agius Saliba (back then It-Tander), and has been equally trusted by all Labour Party leaders during his political career. Basically, you can’t get more Labour Party than this. I’d put him in the same category with Glenn Bedingfield. […]
