The European Union crushes Olympic Medal tally

The European Union has by far surpassed the United States and China in both Gold Medal and total Medal tally. In total, European Union countries won 309 Medals including 100 Gold medals.

The United States won a total of 126 Medals including 40 Gold Medals.

China won a total of 91 Medals including 40 Gold Medals.

The EU winner in these Olympics was France with a total of 16 Gold Medals and 64 Medals in total, followed by the Netherlands with 15 Gold Medals and 34 Medals in total and then Italy with 12 Gold Medals and 40 Medals in total.
