Most public schools are still without air-condition

I used to remember the Labour Party hitting out at the Nationalist-Gonzi administration for failing to supply public schools with air-condition units. Apparently, most public schools, both primary and secondary, still have no air-condition units in the class rooms.

Teachers state that students have difficulties doing their exams in the summer heat. The Ministry of Education promised it will be installing many air-condition units in classrooms during this Summer, but this process hasn’t started yet.

    This is what happens when you have a teacher’s union in cahoots with power

    – Teachers still cannot see the agreement that was signed on their behalf more than a month ago.
    – The MCAST agreement, which has now been expired for 2 years and 8 months, is still shrouded in mystery after two rounds of directives which kept students without results for months.

    Public schools in the UK are expensive fee-paying schools, I’d use ‘state’ schools instead.
