Gaza suffers an outbreak of Polio

Polio has broken out in Gaza after Gaza’s water infrastructure system was destroyed by Israeli bombing. The water drainage system has also been destroyed and Gaza risks severe floods as a result with the incoming rainy season.

The water line built by the Israeli company Mekorot (pictured above) that passes through the Gaza Minucipality from Israel has been destroyed resulting in a 90% of the water flow from Israel to Gaza.

So far there seems to be no agreement on a ceasefire between Hamas and Israel despite promises by US Secretary of State, Anthony Blinken.
