Photos of the Ukraine’s Independence Day celebrations in Malta

Yesterday it was Ukraine’s Independence Day, achieved in 1991 following the collapse of the Soviet Union and the end of the Cold War. Here are some of photos of yesterday’s celebrations in Valletta.

  2. So am i to understand that no Maltese politician attended this event to show solidarity? Why was Ukraine’s president once invited to address the Maltese parliament? Just the usual posturing and nobody really cares.

    Then again, it’s hardly surprising. Malta’s MPs barely seem to care about rule of law and democracy in their own country, let alone in foreign lands. And one must stay in Russia’s good books just in case new opportunities to rake in roubles come along.
