Daniel Azzopardi has yesterday presented his credentials as incoming Ambassador to Italy to Italy’s Chief of the Diplomatic Protocol, Bruno Pasquino.
Rome, is Malta’s most important diplomatic post, having other important connections with nation-states without an embassy in Malta and international institutions. Daniel Azzopardi who was previously in Madrid as Ambassador to Spain will be replacing Brigadier Carmel Vassallo.

Where were these individuals before election 2013? Somehow they all got a nice piece of the cake without lifting a finger when it mattered most. How many votes did he get this one?
Not a career diplomat, but another person of trust. Isn?t this the same Daniel Azzopardi who was placed as Malta?s permanent representative to the European Union by Labour and replaced after just a couple of weeks, mainly because, he didn’t perform.
Hope we do not have another backlash with our neighbouring country now!
