   We used to banter about Independence Day and Republic Day, when Malta was the real country which awed the Mediterranean with our tranquility, entrepreneurship and great way of life, because he really had nothing to grumble about. Not today Madame President.

   Police violence is the result of Abela’s indisputable show of disrespect towards the law and the way he bathes luxuriously in his ocean of personal and collective impunity.

   Clearly, some citizens think they don’t have to abide by the law either. That they are entitled to fight off the law to avoid paying their parking ticket. As far as they’re concerned, IMPUNITY RULES OK.

   And, as far as Malta’s Untouchables are concerned, our Beloved Gafa, thinks impunity rules for them as well.

   As far as Madam President is concerned … if Mark Camilleri were to take her place … I very much doubt he would be able to shift the needle one little bit.

   Any attempt to be an indignant mouthpiece instead of a soft touch might soon land him in some field in pieces surrounded by a blown up car.

   Whilst wholeheartedly and sincerely wishing Mark safety and security … should he not know better when it comes to another person’s safety and security? It is the words and actions of strong women that generate misogyny. Compared to outspoken men, outspoken women face a double jeopardy.

   Despite their polished fa�ade, those who consciously or unconsciously consider themselves in charge of the President are brutal and dangerous.

   The way out of this mess is for the defrauders to face another force which defrauds them. It’s already happening!

   In the meantime, blogs like Mark’s and other blogs which are aligned with reason and sanity, are needed because they keep us sane. Thank you, Mark!
