US President Joe Biden has claimed at the UNGA that the US is backing a ceasefire deal proposed to Hamas and Israel by Qatar and Egypt. The United States has also condemned Iran as a source of terror and war in the Middle East and emphasised that Iran should not get a nuclear weapon. Biden also condemned Israeli settler violence in the West Bank of Palestine and supports a two-state solution.
Regarding Sudan, Biden said that the world should “stop arming the generals” to end the war, taking a non-committal stance between the warring sides.
President Biden also reiterated his support for Ukraine to win the war against Russia.
