Qatari Emir makes a speech at the UNGA about Gaza and Palestine

Qatar’s Emir and de-facto monarch, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, dedicated his speech at the United Nations General Assembly and condemned Israel’s genocide in Gaza citing 41,000 Palestinians in Gaza killed, including up 20,000 women and children. He also condemned Israel’s assassination of Ismail Haniyeh in Iran whom he described as the first democratically elected Prime Minister in Palestine.

Ismail Haniyeh declared war on Israel from the 4 Seasons Hotel in Doha, Qatar and was expelled from the country soon after. Qatar is also involved in mediation efforts between Israel and Hamas to release the last remaining Israeli hostages under Hamas captivity and bring an immediate ceasefire, a process that has so far seem to have come to a dead-end with both parties refusing to change position.

Qatar funded and backed Hamas and also funds and backs Al-Jazeera, now banned in Israel.
