Sudanese Army moves to the borders of north Darfur : civilian casualties reported in different areas

The Sudanese Army has moved towards the border intersection of Sudan, Chad and Libya to halt the flow of weapons to the Rapid Support Forces from the Chad and Libya. The Rapid Support Forces are supported militarily by the United Arab Emirates and Khalifa Haftar’s government in Benghazi, Libya. The Sudanese Army intends to take control of all western and northern and northern borders along with Libya and Chad.

Meanwhile, civilian casualties were reported in the town of Al-Kuma (north Darfur), with at least 59 civilians killed following an airstrike by the Sudanese Army.

The Sudanese Army is conducting a major operation to retake lost territories from the Rapid Support Forces (Janjaweed). It has made significant progress in recapturing lost territory including in the north of Darfur and in the capital city Khartoum.
