Up to 225 dead as a result of Hurricane Helene in the United States

Up to 225 people have died as a result of a violent hurricane in the United States named Hurricane Helene. The hurricane has been recorded as the second-deadliest in the last 50 years. It began its devastating path last week in Florida and then moved to North Carolina, heavily impacting the city of Asheville.

This is the second-deadliest hurricane in US history following Hurricane Katrina in 2005, which left up to 1,392 people dead.
