There were surreal scenes earlier this week as a NATO delegation visited Baku and were seen being toured around “War Trophies Park” which holds military trophies captured from the Armenians in the Second Nagorno-Karabakh War of 2020.
More than 100,000 Armenians were displaced from their homes last year as Azerbaijan invaded and occupied Nagorno-Karabakh with Russia’s tacit approval.
The NATO delegation led by Director General of NATO’s International Military Staff, Lieutenant General Janusz Adamczak met with Deputy Minister of Defense and Chief of the General Staff of Azerbaijan Army, Colonel General Karim Valiyev.
NATO did not publicise the visit.
