Although Ukraine has received offensive military aid by the United States and the European Allies, including a pledged 100 F-16s and a small arsenal of long-range guided missiles, Israel gets a much more easier access to offensive weapons from the United States including more than 2000 bombs granted to Israel just this year, many of which will be used to kill civilians.
Israel has accumulated a long record of war crimes since it invaded Gaza last year as it killed more than 20,000 women and children, deliberately targeted journalists and aid-workers, shot and bombed civilians and even caused a humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
On the other hand, Ukraine’s access to and use of heavy, long-range offensive weaponry has been severely restricted, with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and White House spokespersons citing “prevention of escalation” as the reason for these limitations. The latest German pledged military aid to Ukraine is also very restricted in terms of offensive capability, but Germany sold sophisticated weaponry to Israel in the past.
Currently in Europe there are legal campaigns in various countries to halt the weapons sales to Israel given its war crimes record including in Germany and Belgium. Countries like Spain and the United Kingdom have also restricted or banned the sales of weapons to Israel due to its war-crimes record.
