Russia bombs Ukraine and Syria simultaneously

Russia is currently bombing both Ukraine and Syria simultaneously, conducting its daily airstrikes on Ukraine while also carrying out a large-scale bombing campaign in Idlib, northern Syria.

Russia and Bashar al-Assad are intensifying their attacks on Idlib following the withdrawal of Hezbollah and Iranian proxies in the area in a desperate bid to keep the Syrian rebels from Idlib contained. Russian jets also targeted a power plant in Idlib.

Russian jets in Syria flew off from Hmeymim Air base which was recently bombed by the Israeli Defence Forces for being used by Iran to transport weapons to Hezbollah.
