A 28-year-old man from Msida was arrested early on Monday morning after being found in possession of multiple sachets containing suspected drugs, including cocaine, ketamine, and MDMA.
The incident occurred in St. George’s Street, St. Julian’s, when police on patrol noticed the man smoking indoors at a local entertainment venue. Upon informing him that indoor smoking was prohibited, the man resisted arrest and pushed officers.
Following a search, police discovered 21 sachets containing suspected illegal substances. Additional searches of the man’s vehicle and residence uncovered more items linked to drug trafficking.
The man is expected to be charged in court later today, Tuesday.
