Malta have moved up two places in the World FIFA rankings and now place 169th from 171. This improvement is after two consecutive wins in the UEFA Nations League, against Andorra in an away fixture and the recent 1-0 victory against Moldova which puts the national team in with a shout to win the group.
Malta’s next two games are against Liechtenstein and Andorra, the latter a crucial UEFA Nations League Group D qualifier. These will be played during the second week of November.
