35-hour radio marathon to raise funds for Puttinu Cares

This weekend, Calypso Radio will broadcast a 35-hour live marathon to raise vital funds for Puttinu Cares.

The marathon will take place from Calypso Radio’s Luqa studio, aiming to collect enough funds to refurbish 20 flats in Sutton, which offer essential support to families during challenging times.

Funds raised will go toward 12 sofa beds (priced at โ‚ฌ1,500 each) and TVs (priced at โ‚ฌ400 each). These additions will make it easier for two families to share a flat when needed and bring comfort to families in residence.

The weekend is packed with activities for all ages, with every euro going to Puttinu Cares.

Here’s what’s lined up:

Various plant, bake and book sales to raise funds.ย  Special events include a Mass on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. and ย at 7:00 p.m. a Retro Night with Chris Aquilina (Entrance by donation).

On Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.mย  there will be a Calypso Kids Area, featuring:

โ€ข Magic show

โ€ข Entertainment by the Malta Police Force and LESA

โ€ข Bouncy Castle, Mascots, Face Painting, and Balloon Modelling

โ€ข Popcorn & candy floss

โ€ข Lots of Freebies

On Sunday at 4:00 p.m. there will also be a Live Concert featuring local talents Skald, Michael Azzopardi, Kym Pepe, Cher Camilleri, and Brikkuni.

With activities for all ages and live music to enjoy, everyone is invited to attend and contribute to this meaningful cause.
