Patricia Fenech (Yorgen Fenech’s mother) testifies in Court in Simon Mercieca’s libel case

Patricia Fenech was in Court today, testifying in the libel case that Simon Mercieca filed against me. Simon Mercieca admitted that Patricia Fenech gave him gifts on Christmas and met her several times. The libel case is about my claims that he was paid by Patricia Fenech and Tumas Group to write in favour of Yorgen Fenech.

Taking the witness stand today, Patricia Fenech stated that she met Simon Mercieca at least four times, with their first contact in 2020. Her claim that she met with Mercieca to discuss his research on her relatives in Paola seemed lacking in credibility, and she denied speaking to him about her son, Yorgen Fenech.

When questioned about her messages with her son, Yorgen Fenech, Patricia Fenech denied ever seeking out journalists to write in her son’s favor. In one message to her son, however, she mentioned the need to approach Saviour Balzan to produce a strong defense in the press.
